We went to Durham for a day to check out another outdoor event. The weather was beautiful and we even got a chance to lie in the grass while we waited. We got a 3rd Place Q on Standard. Ann had a hard time seeing the weaves so we have to go home and practice on the solid color weaves!
Blue Ridge Agility Club March 27-28, 2021
We made the trek out to Pendleton, SC to trial in this giant place. We got 3 qualifying scores out of 9 runs. You can tell that she is showing her anxiety because she starts sniffing the ground. Still learning and coming back from COVID break!

Aaaaand we’re back! (Well we’ve been back since like March, but I just haven’t updated my blog in a while…)
Charlotte Dog Training Club March 13-14, 2021
We took a year off from trialing due to COVID, but we felt comfortable enough trialing outside in March and this is the first run in a while. Well, we went to Youngsville in February, but the neighbors were shooting guns and it scared Ann to death and she wouldn’t run. Fun way to start back trialing. This trial was with the Charlotte Dog Trining Club. We got 3 qualifying runs out of the 7 runs we attempted that weekend. I think she did pretty well considering we hadn’t been in the ring in OVER a year!
How to make a portable practice dog agility jump.
Because of COVID-19, Ann and I have not been able to train like we’ve been training, so I decided to figure out how to make portable jumps. We don’t have a yard, so we have to find open fields where we can set up quickly and take down quickly. These jumps are NOT regulation jumps, but they do the trick and are very light and portable!
More practice time with Ann because we can’t go anywhere else! Isn’t she lovely?
Practicing with distractions is something I like to do. It gets her ready for the real world competitions where there are all kinds of distractions! Ann likes to sing with me when I play the melodica. Isn’t she lovely???
Practice time with Ann.
She wasn’t amused. She yawns pretty much in the beginning. Her attitude is too much. I love her so much.

Moore County KC Trial January 17-19, 2020 in Sanford, NC

Carolina Piedmont Agility, Raleigh, NC January 11-12, 2020

Ann is such a funny girl. On Saturday, January 11, 2020, we got a Premier JWW Q (1st Place) and we got a Q in Novice FAST, which was also our title run. We got NQ in Excellent JWW, Excellent STD, and Premier STD. Then, on Sunday, January 12, 2020, she ran the Premier JWW clean, but was 2.80 seconds over. She ran pretty fast but the course was pretty long. Then, we got a Q in Excellent JWW (our 2nd). Then in the afternoon, she completely had enough and didn’t want to play agility AT ALL. NQ on Premier STD, Excellent STD and Time 2 Beat! Time 2 Beat is one of her favorites!!! I guess it’s like people. Sometimes you feel like playing and sometimes you don’t!
